| The Tennessee Home Inspection Licensing Act of 2005 requires that ALL home inspectors MUST be licensed effective JULY 1, 2006. | IMPORTANT: There are no longer any “grandfathering” provisions for home inspection license applicants . ALL home inspection license applicants MUST complete 90 hours of home inspection pre-license education approved by the Tennessee Home Inspector LicensingProgram such as AAOHI’s 90-hour classroom “60+30” Pre-license course or the AAOHI’s 90 Hour Online Pre-license Course and must pass the Tennessee Home Inspection state license examination.

| AAOHI has two 90-hour approved Prelicense courses for home inspection license applicants to meet the required 90-hour educational requirement. |
- NEW "60/30", 90 Hour Prelicense Course
This innovative approved course schedule is the easiest way for a home inspection license applicant to meet the 90-hour Prelicense requirement. The 60 hour Part A of the course is taught IN CLASS for ONLY 6 DAYS , Monday through Saturday, and the additional 30 hour Part B of the course is a home study/book correspondence section to be completed at your home on your schedule! All home inspectors must renew their licenses every two (2) years from the date of issuance by completing 32 hours of continuing education approved by the Tennessee Home Inspector Licensing Program. AAOHI has a series of 8-hour approved continuing education courses.
